OJT provides interpretation for the biggest business linking event in SEA in 2018, hosted by Vietinbank and MUFG
On 23/10/2018 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietinbank and The Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU), the largest bank in Japan, jointly hosted the event "Business Matching Fair in Vietnam" for important clients of both banks. This is the business matching event of the biggest scale in South East Asia in 2018.
Here, OJT is honored to be the provider of over 70 interpretors in Japanese, English and Vietnamese for over 300 businesses from Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and Singapore. OJT’s interpretors took part in 360 meetings and interpreted various talks from representatives in industries such as real estate, garments, construction, manufacturing, mechanics, and health.
Among esteemed guests at the conference were Mr. Do Nhat Hoang - Head of Vietnam’s Foreign Investment Agency, Ministry of Planning and Investment; Mr. Kawaue Junichi - Consul General of the Consulate of Japan in Ho Chi Minh city; Mr. Makoto Kobayashi - Senior Executive of MUFG in Financial Solutions Department; Mr. Senda Tetsuya - Branch Executive of MUFG in Ho Chi Minh city. From Vietinbank: Mr. Le Duc Tho - CEO and member of the Board of Directors and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh - Deputy CEO. The event also garnered 163 enteprises from Japan, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam to connect and find opportunities to cooperate.
This event is the second time that OJT has provided a large number of interpretors for Vietinbank’s "Global Business Matching" event in collaboration with MUFG. At the first event on 20/6/2016, OJT provided over 50 interpretors for 202 meetings of 52 Japanese and Thai businesses and 39 Vietnamese businesses in sales, distribution, supermarket, real estate, agriculture, aquatic products, pharmaceuticals, garments, etc. as well as interviews from media companies and Japan and Vietnam TV.
OJT listed The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ as our regular customer, who promised to continue using OJT’s services in upcoming events. It’s a new step for OJT to assist the two banks (Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ and Vietinbank) not only in English-Japanese interpretation but also event management and setting up logistics.
